A double girder overhead crane has two main girders, and the winch trolley runs on rails on top of them. The structure carries heavy loads: 20–500 t over spans of 7.5–31.5 m, at heights of 6–30 m, for factories, warehouses, workshops, shipyards and processing plants. The hook rises between the girders, so you gain lifting height compared with a single girder crane in the same building.
Popular models are 20, 25, 30, 32, 50 and 60 t, while metallurgy and mining use cranes of 80 t, 100 t and more, for smelting and very heavy loads. Besides general purpose cranes, special versions are made: metallurgical cranes, ladle cranes for casting, explosion-proof cranes and grab cranes for bulk materials. The capacity, span, height and controls are made to order.

The crane runs on two runway beams fixed to the building columns, and the winch trolley travels on rails mounted on the two girders. The winch lifts the load by wire rope, with the hook lowered between the girders, and on cranes with two capacities, for example 20/5 t, the small hook works quickly on light parts. The optional anti-sway system damps load sway on its own, and for long loads it synchronises two trolleys or two hooks.
It carries up to 500 t, with spans up to 31.5 m and lifting heights up to 30 m.
The hook rises between the girders, so in the same building you gain lifting height over a single girder crane.

The anti-sway system shortens the cycle by up to 30% and synchronises the hooks on long loads.
It is used in steel mills and metallurgical plants, foundries, machine and heavy equipment factories, precast concrete halls, coil and plate stores, power plants, turbine and generator installation and transformer maintenance. A 64 t crane with two hooks of 63 and 32 t moves heavy molds in a mold shop, and an 80 t crane with a 28 m span works on a construction site.
Move to the double girder crane when the load exceeds 32 t, when the span is large, when you need as much lifting height as possible or when the crane works in shifts. If you often lift light parts too, ask for an auxiliary hook, for example 20/5 t. For molten metal, explosive atmospheres or bulk materials, tell us from the start, so we choose the right special version.
