A travel lift, or mobile boat hoist, lifts vessels out of the water, carries them ashore and launches them again. The UZX-MBH stands with one leg on each side of the haul-out dock, takes the boat in slings and lifts it without stressing the hull, then drives it on its wheels to the repair or storage area. It lifts 20–1200 t, and the width and height are made to fit the largest boats in the port.
The most requested models are 50, 100 and 500 t, and the range goes through 120, 200 and 300 t, from compact hoists for small marinas to 1200 t machines for superyachts. The hoist runs on 4, 8, 16 or 32 rubber-tyred wheels, with a ground pressure of at most 15 bar, and has diesel, electric or hybrid power. On request it is made in a corrosion-resistant version for marine environments or in a low-profile version.

The hoist drives its legs onto the two piers of the haul-out dock, and the slings are lowered under the boat. Each sling moves independently along the beam, so the lifting points match the boat's centre of gravity. The winches lift in sync, and the system measures sling tension and height in real time, so the weight is shared evenly. Self-aligning pin joints follow the shape of the hull, so the boat does not deform, does not tilt at the bow and is left without pressure marks. A single operator controls everything from the remote, with centimetre precision.

Choose the capacity for the heaviest boat you want to lift, with a margin for larger boats to come. The inner width and clear height follow from the width and height of the largest boats, including the mast if it has to pass under the beam. Choose the number of wheels for what the paving or the pier can carry. Electric power works where there is a supply point, diesel or hybrid elsewhere.
