Unlike the vibratory plate that compacts through continuous vibration, the excavator hydraulic rammer compacts through repeated high-force blows — the impact mechanism penetrates and densifies soil layers more deeply and uniformly, especially on cohesive soils and on granular materials in narrow trenches.
