The S4 industrial robot arm for CNC panel loading is a column robot with 4 axes that picks chipboard, MDF or sheet metal panels off the stack, places them on the cutting machine table and unloads the finished parts. It ships in four configurations, from the S4mini with a 2200 mm arm and 50 kg payload, up to the S4plus with a 3300 mm arm and 150 kg payload.
The industrial robot is anchored to the floor between one and two CNC machines and serves both from the same position, because the J1 axis rotates a full 360°. For a furniture workshop this means a single industrial robot arm replaces two loading operators and holds a constant pace across the whole shift, night shift included.
Advantages of the S4 industrial robot arm for CNC panel loading
• Four models for different workshops. The S4 covers the standard case, with 100 kg and a 2700 mm arm. The S4plus lifts 150 kg and reaches a 3500 mm radius, for large panels and machines positioned further away. The S4mini has the longest lift stroke, 1900 mm, so it works tall stacks in narrow spaces. The S4por keeps the long arm at a reduced height of 2800 mm, for halls with low ceilings.
• Full 360° rotation on the J1 axis. The industrial robot turns without limit around its column, so it can take the panel from the stack, place it on the machine and drop the parts at a third station, without being moved and without a travel rail.
• Gripping with 8 silicone vacuum cups. The vacuum frame with eight cups spreads the force across the whole panel surface, which prevents thin MDF from bending and the decorative foil from being scratched. The required supply pressure is 0.6 to 0.8 MPa, meaning an ordinary workshop compressor.
• Brake motors on the vertical axis. The J3 axis uses a brake motor, from 1.5 kW on the S4mini up to 4.4 kW on the S4plus, so the load stays safely suspended if power is cut. Reducers are RV75-40, RV130-40 or 8C-1000-LNS, depending on the model.
• 220 V supply on three of the four models. The S4, S4por and S4mini run on 220 V, so they do not require a dedicated three-phase connection. Only the S4plus, the 150 kg version, needs 380 V.

The equipment is installed around an existing CNC nesting machine. The cutting machine itself is not included in the delivery. A UZINEX engineer checks your floor plan and the compatibility with the cutting centre you already run in production.
