The industrial gantry picking robot unloads the cutting machine table and sorts the finished parts across the downstream stations. It covers an area of 8 by 7 metres, 4.8 metres high, through travels of 6000 mm on one direction, 4500 mm on the other and 1500 mm vertically, with a head rotation of 180°.
Unlike the H3 gantry, which moves the panel along a single line, this industrial gantry robot works across a whole area and can drop parts at several distinct stations. The 3 kW motors on every axis and the 380 V supply place it in a higher class of size and speed.
Advantages of the industrial gantry picking robot for panels
• Sorting across several stations, not just unloading. With 6000 by 4500 mm of covered area and a 180° head rotation, the robot can carry parts towards edgebanding, drilling or the shipping pallet, according to the job, without an intermediate sorting station.
• Unloads the machine right after cutting. The dead time between two cutting cycles is usually the time someone spends lifting parts off the table. The industrial gantry robot does it in parallel with preparing the next panel, so the CNC machine idles less.
• Sponge vacuum cups for freshly cut parts. Parts coming off the router have edges covered in dust and chips, and the surface is no longer continuous as on a whole panel. Sponge cups conform and hold vacuum where a silicone cup would lose it.
• Identical reducers on the three main axes. J1, J2 and J3 all use PHL115C-10-S2-P1, while the head rotation axis uses a 20E. Identical reducers mean a simple spare parts stock and faster service interventions.
• Brake motor on the vertical axis. The J3 axis has 3 kW with a brake, so the part stays safely suspended if power is interrupted mid-cycle, with nothing falling onto the workstation below.

The equipment is installed around an existing CNC nesting machine. The cutting machine itself is not included in the delivery. A UZINEX engineer checks your floor plan and defines the unloading stations.
