The LAZIRON XHQ-1250 centre performs three-dimensional H-beam plasma cutting on profiles with a flange of 100–600 mm and a web of 200–1250 mm. It is the answer for structural steel companies that lose time moving every beam between marking out, drilling, sawing, end coping and bevelling. Cutting is done with plasma, on thicknesses of 1–45 mm with piercing, with bevelling of up to ±45° and on lengths of 12 m (customisable). The machine is dedicated to H-beams and is widely used for large steel-structure buildings.
A single XHQ centre replaces five classic machines: the marking machine, the drilling machine, the saw, the end coping machine and the bevelling machine. The intelligent control system generates G-code directly, simulates the process in 3D, unfolds the joints, splits parts that are too long and optimises nesting on the bar. Besides H-beams, it processes U profiles, angles, I-beams and bulb flats. See also the other machines in the beam cutting and drilling category.
Plasma is the right choice when you work with large thicknesses and want a lower investment cost than a laser line of the same capacity. With 1–45 mm with piercing, the XHQ covers the thick flanges and webs of beams for halls and heavy structures, where every cut-out made by hand with a torch costs time and accuracy.
• One machine instead of five: marking out, drilling, sawing, end coping and bevelling are done on the same machine. You have fewer machines to maintain, fewer operators on the flow and less floor space taken up in the hall.
• 3D cutting on several profiles: besides H-beams, the centre cuts U profiles, angles, I-beams and bulb flats. The same program and the same operator cover almost the whole range of profiles in a structure.
• G-code generated directly: the intelligent control system generates G-code on its own, so you no longer depend on a dedicated programmer for every new part.
• 3D simulation before cutting: the process is checked on screen, including the unfolding of joints. Geometry errors show up before you cut the material, not after.
• Optimised nesting on the bar: parts that are too long are split automatically, and nesting on the bar is optimised, which reduces leftover ends and material cost.
• Large thicknesses, ±45° bevelling: H-beam plasma cutting on 1–45 mm with piercing, with weld preparations made directly on the machine.
• Clean cuts, minimal finishing: the cutting technology delivers accurate cuts on H-beams, to high industrial standards, and the automated process and optimised flow shorten the total processing time.
• Versatility: the machine can be set up for different sizes and types of H-beams, according to the requirements of each project.

The main field for the XHQ centre is large steel-structure buildings: industrial halls, logistics warehouses, shopping centres, multi-storey buildings and infrastructure structures. Each such project means hundreds of H-beams with connection holes, end cut-outs for joints and bevels for welding. With in-house H-beam plasma cutting, a steel construction company directly controls its fabrication deadlines, without waiting for an external cutting supplier.
Because it also cuts U profiles, angles, I-beams and bulb flats in 3D, the same centre also handles steel profile cutting for bracing, purlins, brackets and secondary members. Bulb flats are often used to stiffen panels in shipbuilding, so the XHQ also has its place in shops that work for shipyards. Compared with CNC sawing followed by separate drilling, all dimensions come from a single program, and the part no longer travels around the hall.
The machine uses CE-certified components, in line with the requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. If you need tighter tolerances or thin sheet, compare it with the XHJG laser cutting line for H-beams, and for dedicated three-axis drilling, see the 3D CNC H-beam drilling machine.
Plasma or laser for beams
Both technologies have their place. Plasma metal cutting on thicknesses of up to 45 mm, with an accuracy of ±1.5 mm, covers the requirements of structures for halls and buildings well, where joints have ordinary erection tolerances. Laser offers tighter tolerances, but at a different investment level. We recommend the solution after we see your real thicknesses, profiles and volumes, not based on a general rule.
The H-beam plasma cutting flow on the XHQ starts from the drawing and ends with the beam ready for assembly:
1. Generating the program: the control system generates the G-code for the beam directly, with holes, cut-outs and bevels.
2. 3D simulation: the process is checked virtually, including the unfolding of joints, and parts that are too long are split automatically.
3. Nesting on the bar: the parts are arranged along the 12 m length so that leftover ends are minimal.
4. Loading the profile: the H-beam, I-beam, U profile, angle or bulb flat is placed on the machine.
5. Plasma cutting: the head cuts thicknesses of 1–45 mm, at cutting speeds of 1–2000 mm/min, and bevels up to ±45° where the part needs a weld preparation.
6. Unloading: the beam comes out cut, drilled, coped and bevelled, without passing through other machines.
Operator training, included at commissioning, covers the whole cycle, from generating the program to unloading the beam, so your team can work on its own from the very first orders.
• Delivery, installation and commissioning, with operator training on your own parts.

Six technology directions we integrate turnkey: from plug & play IIoT sensors, to cobots, predictive maintenance, optical inspection, MES connectivity and custom industrial software.
See in real time how much each machine produces and how long it sits idle. We fit sensors on any equipment, new or old, and within a few hours you have the OEE dashboard on your phone. No complex wiring, no production downtime. The first concrete step toward digitalization, with ROI visible from the very first month.
Solve your labor shortage without tripling your costs. The cobot works safely alongside your people (palletizing, feeding the CNC, welding) while you recover the investment in 12-18 months. Prices 30-40% below European distributors, with installation and programming included from us.
Stop waiting for things to break. Our algorithms analyze sensor data and tell you exactly which part will fail and when, and we bring it to your production line before the breakdown. Zero unplanned downtime, zero contractual penalties, complete operational peace of mind.
Eliminate defects before they reach the customer. Our cameras inspect every part at speeds no operator can match, detecting sub-millimeter defects. They mount onto your existing line, with no modifications. Ideal if you produce for export and have strict quality clauses.
Connect your machines to your office, regardless of brand or age. Our gateway automatically translates the data from any machine into your ERP's format: no manual entry, no paper forms, no human error. The manager sees production live, the operator receives digital instructions.
Have a process that no off-the-shelf software can solve? We build custom industrial applications: from tailored SCADA panels and HMI interfaces, to production planning systems, lot traceability and automated reporting. The code is yours, it runs on your servers, with no monthly subscriptions or vendor lock-in.
