The water well drilling rigs in this category drill wells for homes, farms, irrigation and industry and boreholes for geothermal heat pumps. The range goes from small skid-mounted hydraulic rigs, which fit into a narrow yard, to crawler rigs with an air-driven down-the-hole (DTH) hammer, which drill fast in rock down to 600 m.
The choice starts from the depth and diameter of the well and from the ground: soil, gravel or rock. Hydraulic rigs work with mud circulation and reach 160–230 m, while pneumatic DTH rigs work with a separate compressor and reach 180, 320 or 600 m. Delivery, commissioning and operator training are included in Romania, with a standard 60-month warranty.
