The UZX-HQZ-600L is the largest water well drilling rig in the range: it drills down to 600 m with 130–350 mm holes. It works with an air-driven down-the-hole (DTH) hammer and a hydraulic rotary head, on a 6 m mast that feeds 6.6 m in one stroke.
It has a 132 kW Yuchai engine, 9000–11000 N·m of torque and 28 t of pull-back, for long strings of 102–114 mm rods. The air comes from a separate compressor, 17–42 m³/min at 1.7–3.5 MPa. It weighs 12 t and travels on steel tracks.

The rig works with a down-the-hole (DTH) hammer. The hydraulic rotary head, mounted high on the mast, turns the string and pushes it into the ground, and compressed air from the compressor travels down the rods to the hammer at the bottom. The hammer strikes the rock directly, so speed stays high at depth, and the same air carries the cuttings to the surface. In soil and gravel, casing can be used so the walls do not collapse.
It reaches 600 m, for industrial wells and deep geothermal boreholes.
The 28 t pull-back and up to 11000 N·m of torque handle heavy rod strings.
The 6 m mast with 6 m rods reduces the number of joints.
Steel tracks take it over rough ground without support machines.

The model is chosen by depth and diameter. The UZX-HQZ-180L, on rubber tracks, reaches 180 m with 130–254 mm holes. The UZX-HQZ-320L reaches 320 m with 130–305 mm, and the UZX-HQZ-600L 600 m with 130–350 mm. All need a separate compressor, chosen by depth. For wells down to 230 m in soil, the UZX-HW hydraulic rigs cost less.
