The UZX-HW-160YY is a small, light water well drilling rig on a skid, with a vertical-spindle rotary head and hydraulic feed. It drills down to 160 m, with a 300 mm opening diameter and a 75 mm final diameter, using 42–50 mm rods at angles of 75–90°.
It weighs 850 kg and measures 2400 × 800 × 1300 mm, so it fits into yards, narrow plots and places a truck-mounted rig cannot reach. The 13.2 kW engine also drives the 95 L/min pump, and the winch lifts 2000 kg on a single line. A walking gantry is available as an option.

The rig drills rotary, with mud circulation. The vertical-spindle rotary head turns the rod string and the bit, the hydraulic feed pushes it into the ground, and the pump sends mud through the rods down to the bit. The mud cools the bit, holds up the hole walls and brings the cuttings to the surface. The hole starts wide and narrows towards the bottom, then the well is fitted with casing and a screen at the aquifer.
It is small and light, so it works where large machines do not fit.

Water wells for homes, farms and irrigation, geological and geotechnical drilling with soil testing (SPT) and small to medium-depth industrial or agricultural drilling.
The first criterion is depth. The UZX-HW-160YY reaches 160 m, the UZX-HW-190L 190 m and the UZX-HW-230YY 230 m. The second is the site: the skid models, at 850 and 950 kg, fit into narrow yards, while the crawler UZX-HW-190L reaches rough ground by itself. For wells in rock or deeper than 230 m, choose the UZX-HQZ pneumatic rigs.
