An H-beam production line makes sense when orders for welded beams no longer fit the pace of separate machines, linked by an overhead crane and a lot of manual work. LAZIRON WZ-1500 is a horizontal line with several working channels that run in parallel. It links assembly, welding, straightening and cutting into one continuous flow, with the beam in a horizontal position throughout. It is designed for steel structure plants that produce H-beams from plate in large volumes, with webs of 350–1500 mm and lengths of 5–12 m.
In the hall, WZ-1500 replaces a series of independent stations (assembly table, welding gantry, straightening machine, cutting station) and the transfers between them. Because several H-beams are in process at the same time, capacity goes up and cycle time goes down. Automatic control systems keep alignment and quality consistent, with minimal operator intervention. See all LAZIRON machines for H-beam and box girder fabrication if you want to compare the line with individual stations.
• Several beams in process at once: parallel channels let one beam be assembled while another is welded and a third is straightened. Line capacity grows without headcount growing at the same rate.
• Continuous flow, no intermediate stock: an integrated H-beam production line eliminates piles of parts waiting between operations and repeated moves with the overhead crane. The beam keeps moving, it does not sit.
• Operations linked in a single system: assembly, welding, straightening and cutting use the same flow and the same control logic, so a beam's parameters are not lost from one station to the next.
• Work in a horizontal position: the beam does not have to be turned and tilted again between operations, which reduces handling, the risk of impact damage and dead time between stages.
• Automatic control: component alignment and weld quality stay consistent from one beam to the next, with less manual work and less dependence on each welder's experience.
• Adjustable welding speed: 150–1500 mm/min, so you can match parameters to web thickness (6–30 mm) and flange thickness (6–40 mm).
• Fast travel between positions: a travel speed of 8700 mm/min shortens idle moves and keeps the pace along the entire line.
• More reliable deadlines: on hall and heavy structure projects, a parallel flow lets you promise tight deadlines without overtime piled on overtime.

The accepted material, steels up to Q355, covers most beams used in civil and industrial construction.
The most direct application is industrial and logistics steel buildings, where a single project can require hundreds of beams with the same H-beam section or a few height variants. For a steel construction fabricator, an H-beam production line turns these repetitive orders into a predictable flow, instead of a sequence of manual operations on separate stations. Columns, roof beams and floor beams come out with the same dimensions and the same weld quality.
The line also suits heavy steel structures: multi-storey buildings with a steel frame, industrial platforms, pipe racks and structures for power plants. There, steel beams with webs up to 1500 mm and flanges up to 40 mm are welded in large volumes, and productivity per metre of beam decides the project margin. The line's components are CE-certified, in line with the requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Demand for welded beams comes from logistics parks, factory extensions, large agricultural halls and infrastructure projects. Local steel structure fabricators often compete on delivery time as much as on price. Greater capacity on the same hall area and with the same team lets you accept projects you would otherwise turn down or share with a subcontractor.
If your volumes do not yet justify a complete line, you can start with individual machines and link them later. See the 3-in-1 machine for assembly, welding and straightening, or the H-beam welding gantry. The difference between the two routes comes down to how many beams you produce per month and how much space you have in the hall.
A practical criterion: if welded beams become the bottleneck of the flow and orders are postponed because separate stations cannot keep up, that is the moment when an H-beam production line justifies the investment. If, on the other hand, you produce small and highly varied batches, with many section changes from one day to the next, individual machines give you more flexibility. We help you do this analysis on your real volumes, not on general estimates.
The flow on a horizontal H-beam production line follows the natural order of fabrication, except that several beams go through the stages in parallel:
1. Plate preparation: the flanges (200–600 mm) and the web (350–1500 mm), cut to width, arrive at the line entry in lengths of 5–12 m.
2. Assembly: the components are positioned and aligned automatically in a horizontal position, then tacked, so the beam keeps its geometry during welding.
3. Welding: the seams between web and flanges are made at speeds of 150–1500 mm/min, chosen according to material thickness.
4. Straightening: the flange distortion caused by welding is corrected in the flow, before the beam moves on.
5. Cutting: the beam is brought to its final length and discharged towards drilling, shot blasting or painting.
Because each channel works independently, a problem with one beam does not stop all the others. Operators supervise the process and step in only where needed, and the line's pace is set by the automatic control, not by how fast a part can be moved with the crane.
The difference from a workshop with separate stations shows especially on large projects. There, every transfer with the overhead crane means waiting, risk of damaging parts and one more person in the working area. On WZ-1500, these transfers are taken over by the line, and people handle preparation, inspection and maintenance. The result is a capacity you can plan by the week, not one that depends on how many welders show up for the shift.

Six technology directions we integrate turnkey: from plug & play IIoT sensors, to cobots, predictive maintenance, optical inspection, MES connectivity and custom industrial software.
See in real time how much each machine produces and how long it sits idle. We fit sensors on any equipment, new or old, and within a few hours you have the OEE dashboard on your phone. No complex wiring, no production downtime. The first concrete step toward digitalization, with ROI visible from the very first month.
Solve your labor shortage without tripling your costs. The cobot works safely alongside your people (palletizing, feeding the CNC, welding) while you recover the investment in 12-18 months. Prices 30-40% below European distributors, with installation and programming included from us.
Stop waiting for things to break. Our algorithms analyze sensor data and tell you exactly which part will fail and when, and we bring it to your production line before the breakdown. Zero unplanned downtime, zero contractual penalties, complete operational peace of mind.
Eliminate defects before they reach the customer. Our cameras inspect every part at speeds no operator can match, detecting sub-millimeter defects. They mount onto your existing line, with no modifications. Ideal if you produce for export and have strict quality clauses.
Connect your machines to your office, regardless of brand or age. Our gateway automatically translates the data from any machine into your ERP's format: no manual entry, no paper forms, no human error. The manager sees production live, the operator receives digital instructions.
Have a process that no off-the-shelf software can solve? We build custom industrial applications: from tailored SCADA panels and HMI interfaces, to production planning systems, lot traceability and automated reporting. The code is yours, it runs on your servers, with no monthly subscriptions or vendor lock-in.
