An H-beam straightening machine solves the problem every weld leaves behind: flanges pulled by the shrinkage of the weld bead, which come out tilted or distorted relative to the web. LAZIRON WYJ is a horizontal hydraulic machine that corrects this distortion after welding. It applies a precise horizontal force to the flanges, straightens both of them at the same time and automatically checks the result. It handles flanges of 130–800 mm, webs of 250–1500 mm and steels up to Q355, for structural steel plants, shipyards and producers of heavy structures.
Without a dedicated machine, straightening is done with a torch and a press, by the eye of an experienced person. It is slow, hard to repeat and uses up exactly the people who are hardest to find. The WYJ replaces this stage: the hydraulic system makes the correction consistently, and manual intervention becomes minimal. The machine sits at the end of the beam line, after fillet welding and before drilling, blasting and painting. It is part of the range of H-beam and box girder fabrication machines.
• Both flanges at the same time: the machine corrects the flanges on both sides of the beam simultaneously, so one pass instead of two.
• Automatic detection and re-correction: the machine checks the result, and if the part is not within tolerance, it corrects it again, without the operator measuring every beam by hand.
• Squareness correction: the out-of-squareness between flange and web is corrected on the same machine, together with the flange distortion.
• 25 MPa hydraulic force: the maximum pressure of the hydraulic system ensures consistent straightening on thick flanges too.
• Straightening speed of about 5600 mm/min: the beam passes through the machine at the pace of the line, without becoming the point where parts pile up.
• Motorised roller transport: two 2.2 kW motors on the transport rollers move the beam through the machine, without the crane for every adjustment.
• Two models, wide range: WYJ-40 for flanges up to 40 mm thick and WYJ-60 for flanges up to 60 mm.
• No torch and no guesswork: correction is done mechanically, with controlled force, not by local heating based on each person's experience.
For a steel construction plant, the effect shows at erection: beams with flat flanges, square to the web, that fit without forcing and without shims. An H-beam straightening machine turns the last stage of the flow from a craft operation into a repeatable one.

The choice between models depends on your beams. The WYJ-40 handles flanges of 130–600 mm, with thicknesses of 6–40 mm, and webs of 250–1000 mm, suited to beams for halls and standard structures. The WYJ-60 accepts flanges of 200–800 mm, with thicknesses of up to 60 mm, and webs of 300–1500 mm, for heavy beams for overhead cranes, platforms and industrial structures.
A practical tip when choosing: start from the heaviest beam you produce or want to produce in the coming years, even if today's orders are smaller. Flange thickness is usually the deciding criterion, because it dictates the force needed for straightening. Send us your beam sizes and we will recommend the right H-beam straightening machine, without you paying for capacity you do not use.
The WYJ machine is used for straightening H-beams after welding, in construction, shipbuilding and heavy steel structure fabrication. In practice, this means columns and rafters for industrial and logistics halls, main girders for platforms and multi-storey buildings, runway beams and members for support structures. Whenever a welded beam replaces a rolled H-beam, be it an HEA or HEB profile, welding distortion has to be corrected before the part leaves for erection.
In shipbuilding, welded beams go into the structure of ships and deck equipment, where dimensions are strictly checked when erecting blocks. For plants that subcontract for builders in Western Europe, an H-beam straightening machine is often the condition for a delivery to pass dimensional inspection at acceptance.
The machine is delivered with CE-certified components and with the documentation required by the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Before straightening, the beam goes through fillet welding on the MH gantry welding machine, which completes the line.
In the fillet weld between web and flange, the weld bead shrinks as it cools and pulls the flange towards the web. The result is a tilted flange that is no longer flat, and sometimes an out-of-squareness between flange and web. On a long steel beam, these small deviations show up at erection: end plates that do not sit flat, connection holes that do not line up, columns that do not stand plumb.
Manual flame correction solves the problem, but it heats the steel locally, depends entirely on the person's experience and takes time. On a line producing dozens of beams a week, manual straightening becomes the point where the whole flow stops. The H-beam straightening machine moves this work into a mechanical process: controlled hydraulic force, both flanges at once, automatic checking of the result.
There is also a less visible gain. When straightening is reliable and fast, welding can be done at the optimum parameters for penetration and productivity, without compromises made for fear of distortion. The whole line works better when the last stage is no longer a problem.
For planning, pace matters too. With a straightening speed of about 5600 mm/min and motorised roller transport, the beam does not wait at the end of the line and does not tie up the crane. Plants that produce in series can calculate daily capacity based on the machine, not on the availability of the few people who know how to straighten with a torch. This makes quoting more reliable and delivery dates easier to meet.
1. The welded H-beam enters the machine on the motorised transport rollers.
2. The hydraulic system applies a controlled horizontal force to both flanges simultaneously.
3. The machine also corrects the out-of-squareness between flange and web.
4. The automatic detection function checks the result, and if the part is not within tolerance, the correction is repeated.
5. The straightened beam leaves the machine, ready for drilling, blasting, painting and delivery.
The operator supervises the process and checks the parts, instead of heating and pressing each flange by hand. Training is included at commissioning, given by our local team, in your language, directly on the beams from your production.
• Delivery, installation and commissioning, with operator training on your own parts.

Six technology directions we integrate turnkey: from plug & play IIoT sensors, to cobots, predictive maintenance, optical inspection, MES connectivity and custom industrial software.
See in real time how much each machine produces and how long it sits idle. We fit sensors on any equipment, new or old, and within a few hours you have the OEE dashboard on your phone. No complex wiring, no production downtime. The first concrete step toward digitalization, with ROI visible from the very first month.
Solve your labor shortage without tripling your costs. The cobot works safely alongside your people (palletizing, feeding the CNC, welding) while you recover the investment in 12-18 months. Prices 30-40% below European distributors, with installation and programming included from us.
Stop waiting for things to break. Our algorithms analyze sensor data and tell you exactly which part will fail and when, and we bring it to your production line before the breakdown. Zero unplanned downtime, zero contractual penalties, complete operational peace of mind.
Eliminate defects before they reach the customer. Our cameras inspect every part at speeds no operator can match, detecting sub-millimeter defects. They mount onto your existing line, with no modifications. Ideal if you produce for export and have strict quality clauses.
Connect your machines to your office, regardless of brand or age. Our gateway automatically translates the data from any machine into your ERP's format: no manual entry, no paper forms, no human error. The manager sees production live, the operator receives digital instructions.
