• Aluminium angle, also called L profile, is used for frames, corners and stiffeners.
• Aluminium channel makes guides, frames and light beams.
• Aluminium I beam and H beam carry loads in light structures.
Aluminium extrusions go into curtain walls, side walls and roofs, into construction and into decoration. In industry, the hard alloys are chosen for light structures and loaded parts.
The load decides the alloy. Facades and buildings usually take 6063 and 6082, while highly loaded parts take 2024 or 7075.
