Concrete recycling pays off two ways at once: the cost avoided, meaning the transport and landfill fee you no longer pay, and the revenue from aggregate sold or used instead of bought aggregate.
The result depends entirely on the prices entered above. Check the landfill fee in your area and the local price of natural aggregate before making an investment decision.

We assume no tariff. Pit fees, transport distance, aggregate price and scrap rebar price vary widely by region, so they are entered manually. The default values are only example figures to fill in.
The fraction split is adjustable
The default percentages are indicative for clean concrete rubble. The real split depends on the material source and the screens fitted on the plant, and is measured on the first trial runs.
The avoided cost counts twice
If the rubble is yours, you pay neither the transport to the pit nor the aggregate you would have bought. This is why the break-even point comes sooner than in other production activities.
