Miruna Varzar is a software engineer on the Uzinex team and looks after everything on the digital side of the company, with a focus on artificial intelligence and data. The idea behind her work is simple: the technical knowledge the team holds should not stay locked inside a phone call or an email, it should be available to anyone, at any hour, straight in the browser.

That is where the tools on uzinex.ro come from. The laser equipment configurator, where you choose the power, the table size and the options and see immediately where you land. The five industrial calculators, from metal weight and press brake bend development to nesting yield, the cost of a cardboard box and the aggregate recovered from rubble. Conversational search, where you describe what you want to produce instead of guessing the commercial name of the machine. And the AI manual, which answers questions about the equipment delivered instead of leaving you to page through a three hundred page PDF.

She also handles the part nobody sees, the part that keeps everything standing: the data structure of the catalogue, the pipelines that feed the pages with correct information, the structured data read by Google and by AI assistants, and the English and Ukrainian versions of the site, which make the same tools usable for clients outside Romania.

In Hortus, the company’s research project on controlled growing, she takes the technically hardest part: the AI agent that makes the decisions, the computer vision that interprets what is happening in the crop, the data pipeline and the public log where results are visible in real time, including when the experiment does not go the way it was expected to.

For a client, her work comes down to one thing: you can calculate, configure and search on your own, at eleven at night if that is when you have the time, and when you call, the conversation starts from numbers instead of starting from scratch.
