More than 10 years in industrial sales and manufacturing. At Uzinex he is building a system through which entrepreneurs can access industrial equipment straight from the factory, with extended warranty and technology consulting.
Andrei-Sorin Baciu is co-founder and CEO of Uzinex. With more than 10 years of experience in industrial sales and manufacturing, he specialises in delivering complete solutions for companies that need reliable machinery, fast service and real support.
Before he started selling equipment, he sat on the other side of the table. In 2017 he founded a plant producing ecological construction materials and learned first hand how expensive and how difficult it is to equip a production facility in Romania. Uzinex came out of that experience, an entrepreneurial story covered by Ziarul Financiar in its “Afaceri de la Zero” series: an online store launched with more than 300 pieces of equipment, which became a full industrial integrator in short order, headquartered in the Tehnopolis Science Park in Iași.
His strategic bet is automation as the answer to the labour shortage. Under his leadership, Uzinex delivered the first mobile photovoltaic power plant in Romania and built direct technology partnerships with manufacturing plants, so clients buy at source prices, with extended warranty, commissioning and tailored consulting.
Beyond the business, he is a member of JCI Iași, where he backs technology entrepreneurship through mentoring and networking, and he founded the UZINEX Industry 4.0 Academy, the free programme through which people with locomotor disabilities learn to work with artificial intelligence, a project featured on Știrile ProTV.
