Diameter in inches or millimetres, wall and length are made to order. We confirm them in the quote.
The zinc layer increases corrosion resistance and extends the service life of the pipe. Galvanised tube can be used outdoors, where black pipe would rust.
• In hot dip galvanising, the pipe runs through a bath of molten zinc and gets a thick coating.
• In electro galvanising, zinc is deposited by electric current, in a thinner and more even layer.
Galvanised pipe is used for structural piping, construction, machine building, rail transport and architectural decoration. Grade G550 has high strength and is chosen for building structures.
The environment decides the galvanising. Outdoor use usually takes hot dip galvanising, while indoor parts work with electro galvanising.
