Grade, thickness, width and zinc coating are made to order. We confirm the combination in the quote.
Galvanised sheet is mild steel with a zinc coating. If the surface is scratched, the zinc corrodes before the steel and protects it.
The sheet is hot dip galvanised on continuous lines, as the strip runs through a bath of molten zinc. In the galvannealed version, the strip is heated to about 500 °C after the bath and the coating becomes a zinc-iron alloy.

The process decides the grade. Bending and deep drawing take DX51D, DX52D or DX53D, while structures take G550. The environment decides the zinc coating, thicker for outdoor use.
