The UZX-BM-2800ULTRA makes the box and, as an option, handles cardboard box printing digitally in the same pass: logos, text, codes or labels go on the box while it is being cut and creased. It takes sheets up to 2800 mm wide and corrugated board from E flute up to AAA.
It runs 2–16 mm board up to 2400 g/m², has built-in cold gluing with glue flap pressing, and creases on both sides with male-female wheels. Each of the 4 tungsten carbide cutting knives has its own motor.

The operator loads the cardboard sheets into the feeder, picks the FEFCO code on the screen and enters the box dimensions. The machine pulls in the sheet, cuts it lengthwise with the longitudinal knives, makes the fold lines with the creasing wheels, cuts the flap slots with the slotting knives and cuts the sheet crosswise. Servo motors move the knives and wheels, so no dies are needed. The box comes out ready to fold, glue or send to the packing line.
Options include single-pass digital printing, inline gluing with dispersion adhesive, creasing wheels for circles, rectangles and irregular lines, and automatic feeding with box collection.
Furniture, equipment and technical parts manufacturers make each box to the size of the product, with no stock of formats. Online shops and fulfilment centres cut the box right before packing, to the size of the parcel. Packaging makers and print shops take small runs and urgent orders without new dies.
The first criterion is the width of the cardboard sheet: 1800 mm for small and medium boxes, 2500 mm for large boxes, 2800–3000 mm for very large boxes and furniture packaging. The second is the cardboard: the HD models also run triple wall board, up to 2400 g/m². The third is what else you do on the same machine: gluing, flexo or digital printing, perforating.
