The UZX-1008 vacuum paddle dryer dries wet powders at low temperature, under vacuum, and blends them throughout drying. The paddles on the shaft bring every particle to the heated wall, while the vacuum pump removes the vapors continuously. Total volume ranges from 5 to 30,000 L.
It is also called a vacuum mixer dryer. The vacuum lowers the boiling point of water and solvents, so evaporation takes place close to room temperature, without damaging the product.

The vacuum pump lowers the pressure in the vessel, and moisture or solvent boils at low temperature. Heat comes through the vessel jacket, and in a vacuum it transfers better than in drying at atmospheric pressure.
The paddles lift the particles into a fluidized zone and move them from the center to the ends and from top to bottom. This way every particle reaches the hot wall, and drying is uniform.

The paddle version is balanced for products that need constant thermal contact but cannot take high mechanical stress.
On request, the dryer also comes with ploughs for intensive dispersion, or as a vertical unit with paddles, a conical screw or a ribbon. The vertical versions have their seals and bearings above the product.
