The UZX-994 single shaft fluidizing mixer blends powders and granules with one horizontal shaft fitted with pitched paddles, in a U-shaped trough. The paddles lift the particles into a fluidized zone, where centrifugal force overcomes gravity. Total volume ranges from 30 to 30,000 L.
It combines the simple build of a ribbon blender with the speed of a twin shaft unit. Where a ribbon blender needs 15–20 minutes, the fluidizing unit typically blends in 30–60 seconds.

The paddles are set at angles that move the material both radially and along the trough. Their overlapping layout pushes it into a central fluidized zone, where particles collide often but with low energy.
This makes blending fast yet gentle on fragile ingredients. The paddles pass close to the wall and the end plates, so no dead zones are left, as happens in ribbon blenders.
