The flow through a truck tire shredder is robust and easy to automate, designed for heavy tires:
1. The truck and car tires are fed into the wide mouth, manually or with a hydraulic grab.
2. The very large OTR tires are pre-cut with the "crocodile" type shear before shredding.
3. The two counter-rotating shafts grip and pull the tire between the interlocking cutting discs.
4. The high torque and low speed tear the reinforced rubber without clogging and without damaging vibration.
5. On overload, the system automatically reverses the direction of the shafts and resumes cutting.
