The UZX-HW-1000GL is a full-hydraulic crawler rig for deep wireline core drilling in geological and mining exploration. It recovers HTW, NTW and BTW cores, down to 500, 1000 and 1100 m respectively. The core is lifted through the rods with the winch, without pulling the string.
It has a 154 kW turbocharged Cummins engine, 28 MPa and 300 L/min hydraulics, a rotary head of up to 3500 N·m and 1300 rpm and a 3500 mm feed stroke. The integrated mast tilts from 45 to 90°, lifts 30 t and pushes 15 t. The BW-160 mud pump is included. It weighs 7.5 t.

The rig drills rotary, with a diamond bit at the end of the rods, and cuts a cylinder of rock, the core, which enters the core barrel. When the barrel is full, the winch lowers an overshot through the inside of the rods, which grips it and pulls it up on the wireline, without lifting the string. The core goes into the core box, an empty barrel goes back down and drilling continues. The mud pump cools the bit and keeps the hole clean.
It reaches 1000 m in NTW, for deep mining exploration.
