This commercial gas fryer, the LR-3G / LR-4G / LR-5G series, is floor-standing and has a large oil tank of 30 to 45 litres. It is the fryer for venues that fry a lot and continuously: chips, chicken, fish, doughnuts, lángos.
The tank has a large cold zone below the frying zone. Crumbs and debris fall there, where the oil is cooler, and do not burn. The oil stays clean for longer and the food does not take on a burnt taste. The tank is made of 1.5 mm sheet and is easy to clean. Draining is through the 1 1/4 inch valve, with the drain pipe holder fixed on the inside of the door.
Each burner has 30,000 BTU. The thermostat is a millivolt type. The front and door are stainless steel, and the fryer comes with two nickel-plated baskets. Adjustable stainless steel legs are optional.

High power matters more than capacity. When you drop a basket of frozen chips into the oil, the oil temperature falls sharply. A weak fryer is slow to recover, and the chips come out soft and soaked in oil. At 27–43.5 kW, the gas fryer recovers quickly, so you can fry basket after basket at peak hours. LR-5G has the highest power and is for high-volume fast-food outlets.
On gas, power is high and the running cost per hour is usually lower. On electric, you need no gas connection and temperature is controlled more finely. If you fry all day and have gas in the kitchen, the gas fryer is the usual choice.
