The UZX-HWL-500R is a hydraulic crawler pile driver for piles up to 5 m, a length used by many ground-mounted solar structures. The 75, 85 or 100 mm hydraulic hammer strikes 350–800 times a minute. The frame rotates 360°, so a row of piles is driven from few machine positions.
It has the same 85 kW engine and 22 MPa hydraulics as the 3 m model, with a longer guide. It weighs 7700 kg, travels at 3 km/h and tilts its guide 5° left and right for vertical piles on uneven ground. The optional drilling head drills 130–400 mm holes with a DTH hammer or up to 500 mm with an auger, down to 5 m.

The pile driver sets itself on its tracks next to the pile row, rotates the frame to the pile position and tilts the guide until the pile stands vertical. The hydraulic hammer, driven by the machine's pumps, strikes the pile head 350–800 times a minute and drives it into the ground to the design level. On stony soil, the optional drilling head first drills the hole with a DTH hammer or an auger.

The model is chosen by pile length: the UZX-HWL-300R for piles up to 3 m, the UZX-HWL-500R for 5 m and the UZX-HWL-600R for 6 m. The engine, hammer and hydraulics are the same, so only the guide and the weight differ. For guardrail posts on roads, the UZX-HWH-380D and UZX-HWH-930ZQ are the right fit.
