The UZX-HW-UP45 is a compact underground crawler drilling rig with a down-the-hole (DTH) hammer, for medium and deep holes. It drills 90–130 mm holes up to 30 m, with 58 kW of power and two hydraulic rotation motors.
It is used in underground mines, mine stripping, rescue work, hydropower construction and railway anchoring. Purchase and operating costs are low, consumables are easy to find and the rig is simple to operate.

The rig works with a down-the-hole (DTH) hammer, for medium and deep holes underground. Two hydraulic motors turn the string, the pneumatic hammer strikes the rock at the end of the rods, and compressed air carries the cuttings to the two-stage dust collector. The crawler chassis is compact and keeps the machine stable in the drifts.

The first criterion is the hole diameter. For 65–130 mm holes, the UZX-HW-920, UZX-HW-935, UZX-HW-936 and UZX-HW-421T fit, and for 110–165 mm the UZX-HW-925 and UZX-HW-930. The second criterion is air. The separated rigs (UZX-HW-920, 925, 930) need an external compressor and are lighter. The integrated ones (UZX-HW-935, 936, 938, 421T, 452H) carry the compressor on board and work on their own in the quarry. The third criterion is the site. Underground, the UZX-HW-UP45 is used, and for tunnels and rock bolting the UZX-HW-UJ33 jumbo.
