A horizontal mixer has a horizontal bowl and an arm that rotates on a horizontal axis. The dough is turned and pressed from one end of the bowl to the other, which makes it suitable for stiff, low-water doughs that a spiral mixer kneads with difficulty: noodle and pasta dough, dumpling dough, biscuit dough, hard pretzel dough. It is also used for dense fillings.
The series has two versions, AS-JZ and AS-J, each in three sizes: 15, 25 and 50 litres. The 15 and 25 L models run on 220 V, at 1.5 and 2.2 kW. The 50 L models run on 380 V, at 3 kW.

The spiral mixer is best for elastic, high-water doughs: bread, pizza, sweet bread. The horizontal mixer is better for stiff, dry doughs, where even mixing under pressure matters: homemade noodles, fresh pasta, dumplings, pelmeni, biscuits. If you make noodles or pasta, the horizontal mixer is the one that makes their dough.
